嶺南大學鯨豚教育講座

On 4 April and 11 April 2026, 19 students from our school attended an exclusive educational talk and workshop at Lingnan University. The academic lecture was delivered by Dr. Scott Chui from the Division of Science, Lingnan University, who shared invaluable insights into marine ecology and the mysterious lives of deep-water cetaceans. The session focused closely on the rare 2024 stranding of a Longman's beaked whale in Hong Kong.

The activity aimed to enrich students' knowledge of marine biology and cetacean conservation, inspire a commitment to environmental sustainability, and provide an immersive STEAM learning experience that translates advanced university research into an inspiring resource for young learners. It also empowered them to better understand local ecological challenges and transformed their perspective on wildlife preservation.
