IET Faraday挑戰賽 2026

Our ICT students, Yip CL, Yip KY, Ng TY, Leong HT, Ho HHTT, and Lai CY, participated in the IET Faraday Challenge 2026 on 17 October and won the Excellence Award. 

Organized by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), the competition challenges young minds to solve real-world problems. Applying their creativity and programming skills. Our students developed an innovative smart bin designed specifically to assist visually impaired individuals. The prototype uses ultrasonic proximity sensors to guide users with gentle audio cues as they approach. Furthermore, the team programmed an integrated AI camera system capable of sorting recyclable materials and sending automated capacity alerts. Their thoughtful design demonstrates how technology can foster a more barrier-free community.
