醫學會: AR「視」覺之旅

Members of our Medical Club participated in the STEAM Carnival 2026, organized by Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Wong Yee Jar Jat Memorial Primary School on 27 February. We introduced our signature program, "AR Vision Journey," an immersive eye health experience using augmented reality technology.

Through AR simulation, primary students experienced visual impairments caused by cataracts and age-related macular degeneration (AMD) from a first-person perspective. This interactive setup allowed them to "see through the eyes" of patients, transforming abstract medical concepts into vivid experiences. The students' enthusiastic reactions—ranging from surprise and curiosity to thoughtful questions—reflected their excitement and engagement.

By integrating medical knowledge with innovative technology, this outreach activity showcased how STEAM education can make health science accessible and meaningful for young learners, raising awareness of eye health and the importance of early detection and prevention.
