AMSAHK Academic Research Competition Final Round (Top 10 Overall)

Our school's Medical Club participated in the AMSAHK Academic Research Competition 2025-26, organized by the Asian Medical Students' Association Hong Kong, under the theme 'Addressing Chronic Diseases." Our team investigated "Evaluating Mindfulness Meditation as a Non-Pharmacological Strategy to Reduce Alzheimer's Disease Risk in Middle-Aged Adults.”

Facing keen competition, we were shortlisted as one of the Top 10 teams among 40 secondary schools, advancing to the Final Round. In this stage, we delivered a 7-minute formal presentation and engaged in a Q&A session before a panel of professors from HKUMed and CUMedicine. Our strong performance secured a Top 10 overall placement. This experience enabled students to apply academic research skills in a medical context, enhance scientific reasoning and presentation abilities, and gain valuable insights from other finalists.
